WINGS 'n WATER FESTIVAL - September 19 and 20, 2009
The Award Winning Wings 'n Water Festival is one of the premier Wildlife Arts Festivals in the United States, featuring family fun and adventure. Come out and take an Eco Tour with us and see why the Wings 'n Water Festival was named one of the Top 100 Events in North America and Best Event in New Jersey at the Governor's Conference on Tourism.
Harbor Outfitters will be leading the Kayak Eco Tours for the Wings 'n Water Festival this year. Please call the Wetland's Institute to register at 609.368.1211. Tours will be leaving from the public boat launch on 81st Street in Stone Harbor and going into the beautiful New Jersey Coast marsh. Enjoy the beauty of the wetlands as the season changes from summer to autumn while paddling in the bays and creeks of Stone Harbor. Kayaks and guide provided. Novices welcome - $40 per person - must have reservation.
The Festival is a family fun "Celebration of the Coast". Amidst folk music, down Jersey food, pumpkins and corn stalks, meet nationally acclaimed artists, carvers, model builders, quilters, crafters and photographers. Talk with them, buy from them and learn from a multitude of demonstrations, guided walks and hands on encounters. Wings 'n Water posters are available in the Tidepool Museum Shop.
Funding for this project was provided in part through the
Cooperative Marketing Grant Program of the New Jersey Commerce,
Economic Growth and Tourism Commission,
Office of Travel & Tourism.
