Employment Opportunities Season 2023:

Harbor Outfitters is now accepting applications for full-time or seasonal work. We are looking for self-motivated people who love working and living at the beach. Harbor Outfitters specializing in Sales, Rentals, Tours, Lessons, and Camps; Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Surfing, Foil Boarding, Electric Bikes, Scooters, and more. We have 4 locations serving our customers and we are committed to giving our customers the best in quality and service. We have 4 locations: Sea Isle City (2), Stone Harbor, and our Fun Factory store on Route 9 in Seaville.

Requirements: Great personality, excellent customer service skills. We require all staff to be able to lift 75 lbs. Everyone should expect to lift equipment, stand, walk, drive for a long period of time. Employees are required to work holidays and weekends for the ENTIRE summer. We are interested in mature students who are able to work through Labor Day Weekend and into the Fall as well. We are currently hiring starting mid-April.

Sales Associates and Store Managers

Have you always wanted to work at a job that you have a great passion for? Do you like fun, adventure, and people? Are you organized, professional, task and goal-oriented? If you are looking for a full-time, seasonal, or full-time job at the Jersey shore, this may be the opportunity for you. Responsibilities: opening and closing the store; you will be responsible for answering questions about price, product, services, and more. You will need to know how to operate any computers, registers, and keep accurate records on a daily basis. You will need to know how to speak on the phone, assist in loading and unloading cars. Must be able to keep clean and maintain all equipment every day. Candidates must possess good communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills. Harbor Outfitters’ is looking for a person who has a desire to excel and is motivated to learn. Our ideal candidate can knowledgeably answer the phone/answer questions, take reservations, and finalize a sale.

Technician

A technician will be responsible to service all Low-speed Vehicles, scooters, and e-bikes. You will also be expected to offload trucks/trailers and assemble products. You will be expected to be organized, a good communicator, and a problem solver. Technician is able to lift 100 lbs, love the concept of electric cycling, share your experiences with clients about the future of electric bikes and be able to service bikes after sales. This position will mainly be at our Seaville store on Route 9 occasionally traveling to the beach towns to service as well.

Delivery Drivers Wanted

Must be 21 or older. Tasks include being able to drive pick up trucks, panel vans, and passenger vans, unload and reload equipment, clean, maintain and assemble equipment. You will help customers with equipment and maintain delivery and pick up files. It is a demanding job that requires great driving, navigational and packing skills. You must be a problem solver. You also must be able to be organized and keep all paperwork in order, make sure paperwork is signed and communicated appropriately.

Assistant Manager of Surf Shop

Are projects exciting to you? Do you like to plan and create? Can you make goals, take action to complete the goals and see the goal to the end? Harbor Outfitters is looking for leaders in this field helping to manage sales, rentals, customer service, advertising, money management, and more. Assistant Manager positions are for hire in Sea Isle, Seaville, and Stone Harbor locations.

Surf Camp Leaders and Assistant Instructors

Surf’s up at the Jersey shore and we are looking for reliable, passionate, experienced surfers who have great knowledge of ocean conditions, waves, tides, currents, winds, and overall safety on the water. Do you have a love of the ocean and helping people have fun at the beach? Can you run a successful surf program and develop the surfers in each class to the next level? We are looking for great people with great smiles and skills to help lead our surf camp in Sea Isle City.

Paddleboard Instructors

If you are a true waterman with great paddling skills, look no further. A job teaching people on the water is the ultimate summer fun. Help families and friends have an unforgettable vacation at the Jersey shore as you guide them from learning the equipment, understanding basic strokes, weather conditions, and more. This position is chock full of teaching, conversing, and helping people feel safe and good on the water. All instructors must be First Aid/ CPR certified. Harbor Outfitters holds a class in the spring if you want to join. Paddleboard instructors needed: Paddleboard Yoga instructors, Introduction to Paddleboarding, Paddleboarding Tours, Paddleboard Fishing, Paddle Surfing.

Kayak Tour Guides

We are now seeking all of you hands-on bird and crustacean lovers. Start and end your day on the water as a kayak tour guide. If you love the outdoors, activity and people, this is the perfect spring/summer/fall gig for you. Must possess a nice resume of paddle experience along with being a people person. First Aid and CPR is required. Join the team and take people out on the bay for a Kayak Eco Tour or venture out onto the ocean for the Dolphin Kayak Tour. Great wage. Kayak fisherman also wanted. Tours depart from Sea Isle City and Stone Harbor, NJ. 10 am tours, 2 pm tours, sunset, and full moon tours are offered.

Dock Help

Work outside this summer helping customers on and off the water. You need to have a great personality, good work ethic, and the ability to be observant. You will “sort of” be a lifeguard at the dock, watching and caring for the needs of each client as needed. Work outside, help people have fun, enjoy the perks of working at an outfitters, and smile! The more you smile, the more money you will make.
